When an Opel Frontera B is regularly used off road or carries high payloads, its control-arm, rear-axle and anti-roll-bar bushings are subjected to substantial and constantly changing forces. Soft or worn rubber can allow additional wheel and axle movement.
This blue 85 Shore A off-road version renews the listed mounting points at the front and rear suspension. It deforms less under load than the orange standard kit and prioritises precise suspension and axle control.
The firmer PU limits deformation at the control arms, rear trailing arms and Panhard rod more effectively than aged rubber. This can help keep wheel position and axle location more consistent under braking, lateral and drivetrain forces.
With high payloads and on rough terrain, this can result in more defined handling. In return, impacts, noise and vibration may be transmitted more noticeably to the chassis and body.
Remove the old bushings completely and inspect the mounting points for wear or deformation. Clean all contact surfaces. Suspension and axle-location work should be carried out professionally, and all fasteners should be checked afterwards.
These versions have different hardness levels and recommended uses.
