A Nissan Terrano II R20 used with high payloads or regularly off road places substantial loads on its suspension bushes. When the original rubber bushes deflect, wheel and axle positions can change more under load than intended.

This blue 85 Shore A heavy-duty off-road polyurethane kit covers the front control arms, rear trailing arms, rear Panhard rod and anti-roll bars. It is firmer than the orange standard version and focuses on more defined suspension location under high loads.

Key details

  • Fits: Nissan Terrano II R20, 1993–2003
  • Version: Heavy-duty off-road, front and rear suspension
  • Material: Polyurethane
  • Hardness: 85 Shore A
  • Colour: Blue
  • Metal sleeves and assembly grease: Included

Reduced deflection under high loads

The firmer polyurethane deforms less than soft or aged rubber under braking, drive and lateral forces. This can help the front control arms, rear trailing arms and Panhard rod perform their guiding function more consistently under load.

This can provide more defined steering response and rear-axle behaviour off road or with high payloads. The firmer mounting can also transmit more noise, impacts and vibration to the chassis and body.

Kit contents

  • Front upper control arms: 4 PU bushes and 4 metal sleeves
  • Front lower control arms: 2 PU bushes and 2 metal sleeves
  • Frame-side front lower control-arm mounts: 2 PU bushes and 2 metal sleeves
  • Rear upper trailing arms: 4 PU bushes and 4 metal sleeves
  • Rear lower trailing arms: 4 PU bushes and 4 metal sleeves
  • Rear Panhard rod: 2 PU bushes and 2 metal sleeves
  • Anti-roll-bar link bushes: 8 PU bushes
  • Front anti-roll bar: 2 PU bushes
  • Rear anti-roll bar: 2 PU bushes

Important note on the front upper control arms

For the front upper control-arm bushes, remove only the old rubber from the original bush. The outer metal shell remains in the control arm and is reused when fitting the PU bushes.

Installation note

Remove the remaining old bushes completely and clean all mounting points thoroughly. Use the supplied assembly grease on the specified contact surfaces. Suspension and axle-location work should be carried out professionally, and all fasteners should be rechecked after installation.
