On the Nissan Terrano I WD21, the front control arms and rear trailing arms guide the suspension under braking, lateral and drive forces. After many years, soft or worn rubber bushes can make the vehicle respond less precisely.
This blue 85 Shore A heavy-duty off-road polyurethane kit renews numerous front- and rear-suspension mounting points, including the rear Panhard rod and anti-roll bars. It is intended for vehicles used with high payloads or regularly off road.
Rubber can deform more heavily as it ages, allowing additional movement at the control arms, rear trailing arms and Panhard rod. The firmer polyurethane retains its shape more consistently under load and can limit this movement.
This can provide more predictable wheel and axle location during steering, braking and off-road loads. The firmer specification can also transmit road impacts and vibration more directly.
For the front upper control-arm bushes, remove only the old rubber from the original bush. The outer metal shell remains in the control arm and is reused when fitting the PU bushes.
Remove the remaining old bushes completely and clean all mounting points thoroughly. Use the supplied assembly grease on the specified contact surfaces. Suspension and axle-location work should be carried out professionally, and all fasteners should be rechecked after installation.
These versions have different hardness levels and recommended uses.
