Off road and under high payloads, the suspension mounting points on the Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ/ZG are subjected to constantly changing loads. Soft or worn rubber bushings can allow additional movement at the control arms, Panhard rod and sway bars.
This blue heavy-duty off-road version renews the listed mounting points on the front and rear axles. The main bushings are rated at 85 Shore A, while the front Panhard-rod bushings use 90 Shore A.
The firmer polyurethane deflects less under braking, cornering and drive forces and can help keep the axle position more consistent. The trade-off is that impacts, noise and vibration may be transmitted more noticeably into the frame and body.
At the designated control-arm positions, remove only the old rubber; the original outer metal shells remain in the arms. Mark all positions before disassembly and inspect the steering and remaining suspension components at the same time.
These versions have different hardness levels and recommended uses.
