The MorE 4x4 Steel Gearbox Skid Plate for the Toyota Hilux Revo (Generation 8) offers high-strength protection for one of the most important and expensive mechanical components of your pick-up. While the front of the vehicle is usually protected first, the gearbox area in the middle of the vehicle is often subjected to extreme stress in rough terrain, on expeditions, or in demanding work environments.

The Hilux Revo is globally renowned as an uncompromising utility and travel vehicle. However, those who use it properly in heavy terrain, in forests, on construction sites, or on overland tours expose the gearbox area to significant risks. When driving over crests, rocky paths, hard embankments, or massive tree stumps, this area is unprotected. If the pick-up hits hard here, there is a risk of cracks in the gearbox housing, deformation of the mounts, and fatal oil loss – leading to extremely costly consequential damage to the manual or automatic transmission.

This vehicle-specific underbody protection perfectly closes this safety gap. The smooth surface also ensures that the vehicle glides over obstacles in an emergency, rather than getting stuck. Thanks to its well-thought-out design, this skid plate can be mounted completely independently and separately, without necessarily requiring the other plates of the underbody system (such as the front engine guard).
